1. Tailgate Party - 9/19/2010 - - Click here for more images
Score a Touchdown with Ontario Beef was the goal of OCA’s launch event for the Make it Ontario Beef campaign held on September 19th, 2010 at a Toronto Argonauts football game. This pre-game tailgate event was held at gate 11 of the Rogers Centre and featured free samples of Ontario beef Tailgate Tasters for over 3,000 people. An inflatable throwing and kicking station, free face painting and tattoos also created buzz for the family event. Visitors to the tailgate party were encouraged to visit www.makeitontariobeef.ca, sign-up for the monthly newsletter and enter a draw for a chance to win the Ultimate Beef Lovers Prize pack.

2. Queen's Park Beef BBQ - 7/19/2010
OCA held its 7th annual, very successful Beef Barbecue at Queen’s Park. The OCA staff and Board held meetings with various MPPs during the morning. In addition to scheduled meetings, with MPPs it is estimated that just shy of 600 people attended the barbecue. Members of the Queen’s Park Press Gallery also attended. Here, OCA President Curtis Royal is pictured with The Honourable Carol Mitchell, Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as she slices beef.

3. 4-H Ontario Discovery Days - 6/21/2010
Over the past two months more than 270 4-H members and their friends, ages 10-12, have had the opportunity to take a “Walk on the Wild Side” during one of six regionally delivered 4-H Ontario Discovery Days. Sponsorship support from the OCA in the amount of $20,000/year for five years will continue to allow members and their friends to explore what 4-H is all about. Here, Andrew Moore, Marketing and Events Coordinator, 4-H Ontario (left) accepts the $100,000 cheque from Dan Darling, OCA Vice-President, and OCA President Curtis Royal (right).

4. Ontario's Pick Ontario Freshness Event - 5/17/2010
OCA once again participated in the government of Ontario’s Pick Ontario Freshness event at Queen’s Park in May. The event showcases Ontario produce and meats with a mini farmers-market. OCA Director, John Gillespie, and Communications Manager, Lianne Appleby, attended on behalf of OCA.
