* Ads must correspond to the size
specified on the Ontario Beef ad rate sheet. A charge applies to any ads
which need to be resized.

* Preferred format for ads are Mac
Quark X-Press, Adobe Illustrator or
PDF files. All fonts and supplementary graphic files (e.g.,
TIF and EPS) must be supplied, along with a laser printout. Note that
PDF files must be high resolution with embedded fonts and created using
graphic design software (not MS Word)
PC Files

Preferred formats for PC files are PDF,
Quark XPress or Adobe
Illustrator EPS.

If the ads are supplied as X-Press files,
the fonts will be substituted for the Mac equivalent. If the precise
font is not on hand, the designer may chose one at his discretion. A
laser printout of this must be viewed by the client before going to
press to avoid any discrepancies. A $25 charge applies.

Ads submitted as Abobe Illustrator EPS
files can be accepted without charge, providing all fonts have been
converted to outlines." This means that the Mac fonts needn't be
substituted.

Corel Draw files
will be accepted, but they must be submitted two weeks prior to the
normal advertising deadline, accompanied by a laser printout. All fonts
must be converted to graphics. Note: An additional charge may apply
to Corel Draw files.
Colour
All images must be saved as CMYK not RGB.
Please supply a digital colour proof to ensure that the printed ad
corresponds to the electronic file. However, an exact colour match
cannot be guaranteed, since colour digital proofs are not accurate
pre-press proofs. The printer is not responsible for trapping, scan
quality and other issues of colour printing. The file will be printed as
it is supplied.
