Mycoplasma

OCA is taking the issue of Mycoplasma in Ontario Beef herds very seriously. A resolution passed at OCA's 2002 Annual Meeting stated:

WHEREAS mycoplasma is a deadly disease in the Ontario cattle herd and there is a direct relationship to BVD,

BE IT RESOLVED that OCA petition OMAFRA to take an active role in working with OCA and industry representatives to develop and implement a plan to seek solutions in managing this mycoplasma disease.

Recently, OCA convened a meeting of industry representatives to discuss the disease. Minutes from the meeting can be found by clicking here
