OCA is taking the issue of Mycoplasma in Ontario Beef herds very
seriously. A resolution passed at OCA's 2002 Annual Meeting
stated:
WHEREAS mycoplasma is a deadly disease in the Ontario
cattle herd and there is a direct relationship to BVD,
BE IT RESOLVED that OCA petition OMAFRA to take an active
role in working with OCA and industry representatives to
develop and implement a plan to seek solutions in managing
this mycoplasma disease.
