STEPS TO FOLLOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

1)  Inform the Ontario Financial Protection Office at 1-888-4-OMAFRA Ext. 64230 promptly if payment is late in arriving.  Payment is considered late if not received after 5 business days from date of sale.

2)  Send a fax within 30 days of making the sale to the Ontario Financial Protection Office at 519-826-4375. 

3)  On the fax, list the following: 

• The name of the licenced dealer you are making a claim against

• How many cattle you sold

• The dollar value of the cattle sold

• What date the cattle were sold

• Name, address, and phone number of claimant

 4)  An official from the government will call you with the necessary steps in proceeding with your claim against the fund.
