The Ontario Cattlemen's Association is pleased to partner with Mapleseed and the Ontario Forage Council in sponsoring the “Ontario Mapleseed Pasture Award.” This is an excellent opportunity to recognize individual producers who are doing an outstanding job of pasture management. It is also a way of providing some motivation at a time when the beef industry is in need of a little encouragement. It is presented, each year, to producers who have been recognized as making good use of resources through selection and management of pastures.

Mapleseed contributes a cash award of $750 to the winner, $250 to cover their accommodation plus a 25kg bag of their choice of a Mapleseed Forage Mix.  There will also be two honorary prize winners, each winning $250 and a 25kg bag of Forage Mix. The  winners  will be announced at the Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Cattlemen’s Association in Toronto, which will take place in February 2012.
